The GNO for All programme returns for the 2026/27 season

 

Through the GNO for All programme, the Greek National Opera continues to offer free tickets for performances in the 2026/27 season to young people aged 17 to 22, large families, unemployed individuals, and persons aged 65 and over

Following its great popularity in the previous two seasons, 2024/25 and 2025/26, the programme GNO for All will continue into this year’s season, offering the possibility for young people aged 17 to 22, persons aged 65 and over, large families, and unemployed individuals to obtain free tickets for selected productions of the Greek National Opera in the Stavros Niarchos Hall at the SNFCC.

During its second year of operation, in the 2025/26 season, the programme extended its reach even further. Overall, across the first two seasons, 10,000 free tickets were distributed, and the number of eligible individuals registered on the programme’s platform exceeded 23,000.

Continuing into a third consecutive year, GNO for All is part of GNO’s consistent efforts to expand audiences’ access to the art of opera and ballet by bringing its artistic work even closer to even more people and creating new opportunities to introduce them to its performances.

During this year’s season, through the programme’s electronic lottery system, beneficiaries will have the chance to attend the productions Even If You Go Away…, L’Orfeo, The Queen of Spades, Giselle, The Emperor’s Nightingale, Tosca, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Rake’s Progress, Otello, Missa Solemnis, Madama Butterfly, and Rigoletto.

The programme is aimed at individuals aged 17 to 22, persons aged 65 and over, large families, and unemployed citizens, who can register at www.nationalopera.gr/lyrikigiaolous. Free tickets will be available through an electronic lottery drawing system that ensures the fairness of the procedure.

By registering on the platform, eligible participants will have the opportunity to indicate their preference for the production or productions they would like to attend. For each production, a specific number of free seats will be available in all seating zones of the Stavros Niarchos Hall. A special lottery will be held for each production, and the winners will be notified accordingly. Each free-ticket recipient may invite one additional guest of their choice.

It is noted that those who have already registered on the GNO for All platform will be automatically included in this year's drawings, provided they were not selected in any of last season's draws.

Upon completing the platform registration process, each registered individual will automatically receive a free pass to watch three GNO performances online on GNO TV.
