DEPARTMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL DANCERS & DANCE TEACHERS

Applications to sit for entrance exams are submitted to the secretary of the GNO Dance School in July and September.

Necessary papers:
Completed application form
Certified photocopy of your ID card or passport
Certified photocopy of your high-school diploma

NOTE: Application to the GNO School of Dance does not replace the application that all interested parties must submit to the Ministry of Education to apply for professional training. For more information, contact the Department of Theatre & Dance Training at the Ministry, on tel 210 820 1752.

Entrance exams are held in September.

Applications for placement exams are submitted to the School’s secretary by September 15 or the last Friday prior to that date.

Necessary papers:
Completed application form
Certified photocopy of your ID card or passport
Certified photocopy of your diploma in dance or dance instruction from a recognised higher education institute in Greece or abroad
Certified copy of your high-school diploma

Applicants with diplomas from a foreign institution must also submit: an official translation (from the Translation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) of their diploma in Greek; an official transcript of their studies (containing the location, duration, classes and teaching hours) also translated officially into Greek, and a curriculum vitae.

Non-Greek applicants must also submit: a certified photocopy of their residence permit and an official identification document translated into Greek by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Classes begin on the first Monday of October.

PREPARATORY DEPARTMENTS
Applications to sit for entrance exams must be submitted to the School's secretary by September 15 or the last Friday prior to that date.

Necessary papers:
Completed application form
Certified photocopy of your birth certificate, ID card or passport

Entrance exams for the preparatory department (for students aged 12-15) are held in late September or early October.

Classes begin in the second half of October.

PRESENTATION OF THE GNO DANCE SCHOOL
In late June or early July, students are given the opportunity to show their work at the Olympia Theatre. The performance is free of charge and the programme consists of pieces created by the students themselves, as well as excerpts of works from the classical and modern repertories, which are taught by the School's instructors.

Application and exam dates for the professional and preparatory departments, as well as for the School's presentation, will be posted on the website.
