The Greek National Opera is organising an audition for one (1) position for a fagottist

AUDITION’S SCHEDULE
Candidates for position will compete by playing:

1. MOZART: Concerto for fagot (bassoon) and orchestra in Bb major KV 191 (1st and 2nd movement without cadenzas)
2. C.M. von WEBER: Concert for fagot (bassoon) and orchestra in F major op.75 (2nd movement)
3. Excerpts from orchestral works, photocopies of which will be given to the candidates by the G.N.O protocol office.

Date of audition for candidates
18 /9/2015 Time: 11:00 hours

Candidates will take part in the auditions based on the order in which their names are selected in a draw. Consequently, all candidates must be present at the start of the auditions.

All candidates will compete in the concerts with a pianist of their own selection.

Audition location:
The Orchestra Rehearsals Hall (16 Archimidous St., Kallithea GR-17778)

Persons interested in auditioning should contact the Greek National Opera’s Protocol Office at 39 Panepistimiou St., Pesmatzoglou Stoa, 3rd Floor, tel. 210 3711330 to obtain the excerpts from orchestral works and to submit their application form. Applications may be submitted on working days between 4/8/2015 and 11/9/2015 between 08:30 hours and 14:30 hours.

Candidates must hold a diploma or degree from a recognized conservatoire in Greece or a recognised musical training establishment in Greece or an equivalent diploma from a training establishment abroad, which must be submitted along with the application form and a complete CV.

All candidates who work for other Greek orchestras (Greek Radio-Television Orchestra, Mun. of Athens Orchestra, etc.) on a fixed-term or open-ended contract, must submit a certificate from their employer relating to their total monthly pay, to the Greek National Opera’s Protocol Office before the date of the audition
