MARINA VIOTTI

Mezzo-soprano, she was born in Switzerland. After studying flute, experimenting with jazz, gospel and heavy metal, she pursued vocal training. She has since performed in some of the world’s most prestigious opera houses such as La Scala (Milan), Opéra national de Paris and Teatro Real (Madrid). In 2024, she made her US debut with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Recently, she has sung the title role of Carmen (Zurich, Dallas), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus, Amsterdam), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Berlin) and Angelina (La Cenerentola, Dres-den, Paris). Her interpretation of Charlotte in Werther (Paris, 2025) was highly acclaimed by critics and audiences. A winner of multiple awards, she has been honoured with the ‘Mazars Young Singer Award’ at the 2019 International Opera Awards and as ‘Artiste lyrique de l’année’ at the 2023 Victoires de la Musique in France. A particular highlight in her career has been the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics Games in Paris, where she had a highly acclaimed—and Grammy awarded—performance, alongside the French metal band Gojira. This is the first time she performs at the Greek National Opera.
