ANDREI DANILOV

Russian tenor, he was born into a family of musicians and singers. He worked, together with his parents, as a soloist in Irkutsk Musical Theatre. Mostly specialised in musicals and rock operas, he debuted as Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar). After graduating from the Institute of Art at Siberian University of Rights, Economics and Management as his third Master’s degree, he began his career as an opera singer. He is the winner of several international competitions, such as 5th Eva Marton International Singing Competition, 55th International Vocal Competition’s-Hertogenbosch, José Carreras Grand Prix, Primo Concorso Lirico Internazionale Piemonte Opera “Voci dal Mondo”, Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition, Vienna International Music Competition. In 2019 he became a Deutsche Oper Berlin ensemble member, subsequently expanding his career outside Europe. He has sung many lead roles. Rodolfo (La bohème), Alfredo (La traviata), the title role in Faust and Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto) are now considered his signature roles.
