FRANCESCO PIO GALASSO

Italian tenor, he has established himself in the great roles of the operatic repertoire. He studied classical guitar and later began singing studies with Rosa Ricciotti and Amelia Felle. Subsequently he perfected his technique with Montserrat Caballé and Giuseppe Giacomini. He has performed in prestigious opera houses and festivals including the Teatro San Carlo (Naples), Bolshoi Theatre, Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Arena di Verona, Hungarian State Opera, Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa), Musikverein Graz, Savonlinna Opera Festival alongside great artists like Netrebko, Radvanovsky, Hernández, Domingo, Álvarez, Enkhbat, Lindstrom, Schrott. His repertoire includes such roles as Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Licinius (La vestale), Macduff (Macbeth), Rodolfo (La bohème), Alfredo (La traviata), Roméo (Roméo et Juliette), Manrico (Il trovatore), Calaf (Turandot), Enzo Grimaldo (La Gioconda), Don Alvaro (La forza del destino), Don José (Carmen), Don Carlo, Des Grieux (Manon) and Cavaradossi (Tosca), under leading conductors (Renzetti, Morandi, Luisotti, etc). He first collaborated with the GNO in Turandot (2025).
