DIMITRA KALAITZI-TILIKIDOU

Greek mezzo-soprano, she was born in Thessaloniki. She took her diploma in singing from the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki (Varvara Tsambali’s class). She completed her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with a bachelor and master’s degree and continued her postgraduate studies in Lieder at Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media. She is still studying under leading mezzo-soprano Christa Mayer. Since 2022/23 she has been a permanent member of the Dresden State Opera. Moreover, she has been a permanent member of the Freiburg Opera. She has worked with theatres in Aachen, Bonn, MiR Gelsenkirchen, Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, Dortmund, Innsbruck. She worked as a soloist with the Thessaloniki State Orchestra and has sung such roles as Cendrillon (Cendrillon), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Secretary (The Consul), Frau Reich (Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor), Juno (Semele), Frugola (Il tabarro), Bersi (Andrea Chénier), Third wood sprite (Rusalka), Jacob (Gold!). She is a scholar of the Richard Wagner Society και Yehudi Menuhin – Live Music Now Köln. She is a graduate of the School of English (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).
