FOTINI ATHANASSAKI

Greek mezzo-soprano, she was born in Athens and in 2013 she received a diploma in singing from the Music Horizons Conservatory. In June 2013, she won the Scholarship of the Academy of Athens for postgraduate studies in monody, completing her studies at the Kodály Conservatory, Athens. In 2014, she debuted as Mrs Herring (Albert Herring) at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. Since then she has performed the roles of Mamma Lucia (Cavalleria rusticana, Corfu, 2015), Neris (Medea) and Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica) at the Aegean Festival (Syros, 2015), Azucena (Il trovatore) with the groups OperAttack and Opera Povera on tour in 2015 and 2016. Since September 2017 she has been a member of the Innsbruck Theatre where, among others, she has performed the roles of the Mistress of the novices (Suor Angelica), Hannah (The Passenger), Annina (La traviata), Second maid (Elektra). In April 2023 she was invited to perform the role of Hannah at the Altenburg-Gera Theatre. She is a graduate of the Department of Tourism Business Management and holds a master’s degree in Hotel Business Management of OTEK.
