ANDREA CARÈ

Italian tenor, acclaimed for his powerful voice and expressive interpretations across the Italian and French repertoire. He has performed leading roles such as the title role of Don Carlo, Radamès (Aida), Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca), Don José (Carmen), and Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Metropolitan Opera (New York), Vienna State Opera, La Scala (Milan), Royal Opera House (London), Teatro Real (Madrid) and Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow). Recently, he has sung the role of Alfredo in a new production of La traviata at the Dortmund Theatre. After his studies at the Conservatorio ‘Giuseppe Verdi’ in Turin, he refined his technique becoming a pupil of Raina Kabaivanska and Luciano Pavarotti, and was awarded at the Spoleto International Competition for Young Opera Singers in 2005. Alongside his stage career, he performs at major festivals and records for leading labels. He also dedicates himself to teaching and gives masterclasses in Italy, France and Finland. He has collaborated again with the Greek National Opera as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Odeon of Herodes Atticus, 2023).
