ANNA PIROZZI

Italian dramatic coloratura soprano, shortly after making her debut in 2012 at the Teatro Regio in Turin as Amelia (Un ballo in maschera), in 2013 she was invited to the Salzburg Festival to sing Abigaille (Nabucco) with Riccardo Muti, a role she has sung 100 times in such theatres as La Scala (Milan), Vienna State Opera, Arena di Verona, and Berlin, Paris, Florence, Parma. She has performed alongside artists of the calibre of Plácido Domingo and collaborates regularly
with such conductors as Antonio Pappano, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Nello Santi, Nicola Luisotti, Daniel Oren and Donato Renzetti. She is regarded as one of the best voices in the world in a very wide dramatic and bel canto repertoire which has led her on such prestigious stages as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Opéra Bastille, Monte Carlo Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Teatro Real (Madrid), Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona) among many others. This is the second time she performs with the Greek National Opera, as last April she sang to great acclaim the leading role in Cherubini’s Medea.
