DIAMANTI KRITSOTAKI

Greek mezzo-soprano, she was born in Heraklion, Crete, into a family of musicians. After her graduation from AUEB, she obtained her singing diploma and pursued postgraduate studies in classical singing at the Leopold Mozart School (University of Augsburg). She studied with Habereder-Kottler, Spring, Bernius, Kammerlander, Johnson, White, Murray, Siew-Tuan, Sevenich, Yannakopoulou and Stamboglis. As a soloist she has performed at the Augsburg Theatre and has been collaborating with the GNO since 2013 in such productions as Macbeth, Il barbiere di Siviglia (“Interactive Opera for Primary Schools”), Carmen (“The Suitcase Opera”), Carmencitas, Madama Butterfly, The Godson, Carmen, Manon, Ζ, The Bacchae, ORFEAS 2021, The Air of Greece, Despo, Faust, Rigoletto, Gianni Schicchi, Cavalleria rusticana. She has starred at the Olympia Theatre in Sœur Béatrice, The Apaches of Athens and Pénélope. She has participated in Oedipus: Sex with mum was blinding (Sfendoni Theatre) and The Shell Game (Apo Michanis Theatre), PUNCH (BIO-mechanical festival). She has collaborated with leading soloists, stage directors and conductors. She participates in concerts and festivals, while also teaching singing.
