ANDREAS KARAOULIS

Greek tenor, he was born and raised in Piraeus. He is a graduate of the Department of Philology with specialisation in linguistics (NKUA). He obtained his diploma in monody with honours and first prize under the guidance of Stamatis Beris. He continued his studies in the educational programme of the Greek National Opera “Youth Opera”, under the artistic direction of Angelo Simos. He has collaborated in classical and contemporary repertoire with the Music Ensembles of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, the Municipality of Athens and with the Chorus of the Greek National Opera as an additional chorus member in such works as Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Spalanzani / Nathanaël), Otello, Faust, Rigoletto, Lohengrin. In addition, as a soloist since 2017, he has been collaborating with the Navy Band in galas and chamber music evenings in such venues as the Presidential Mansion, the Athens Concert Hall, the Royal Theatre of Thessaloniki, in theatres and halls throughout Greece and at festivals in the USA and Switzerland performing arias, canzonettas and works by Greek composers.
