HARIS ANDRIANOS

Greek baritone, he studied voice (Athenaeum Conservatory) and chemistry (University of Athens). He continued his studies in Milan and Barcelona (Maria Callas scholarship). He made his debut at the Greek National Opera in 1997 as Papageno (Die Zauberflöte). Since then, he has sung numerous leading roles in many GNO productions and at the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls. He has performed as a soloist in many cities in Greece, as well as in Italy, France, Japan, and Germany. He has premiered works by Greek composers such as M. Theodorakis, N. Mamangakis, Th. Mikroutsikos, G. Kouroupos, N. Kypourgos, D. Papadimitriou, etc. He has sung, among others, in operas Ariadne auf Naxos, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Turandot, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Le nozze di Figaro, La bohème. In collaboration with George Petrou, Athens Festival and Camerata, he appeared in productions Kiss Me Kate, Sweeney Todd, Carmina Burana, etc. He collaborated with the National Theatre of Greece on the productions Operetta (N. Karathanos), The New House (Y. Skourletis) and Evangelismos (A. Triantafyllou). He was a permanent member of the Bonn Opera and a member of the Cologne Opera (2008-2009).
