CHRISTOS KECHRIS

Greek tenor, born in Athens. His repertoire ranges from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods to contemporary experimental music. He systematically focuses on 20th and 21st century music and contemporary creation, combining musical precision with theatrical and stage presence. He collaborates regularly with the Greek National Opera (Stavros Niarchos Hall and Alternative Stage) as well as the Athens State Orchestra, Armonia Atenea, Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation Symphony Orchestra, Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, Ergon Ensemble, National Theatre of Greece, and the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun. He has performed at the Athens Festival, Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, Olympia City Music Theatre ‘Maria Callas’, Onassis Stegi. He has an international presence, having participated in opera productions and appeared as a soloist, among others, in Switzerland (Opéra de Lausanne, Opéra de Fribourg), France (Opéra national de Lorraine), Germany (Passau State Opera), Malta (Teatru Manoel), Turkey (Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra), Slovenia (Seviqc Brežice Festival), Lithuania (Banchetto Musicale). Since 2024 he has been a soloist in-residence and principal performer in the Composition Workshop Cycle of the Greek National Opera.
