Lito Messini

Born in Athens. She studied at the Athens Conservatoire (class of Julia Troussa). She continued her studies at the GNO Opera Studio and has been collaborating with the GNO since 2011. As a soloist, she has sung at the Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, Athens Epidaurus Festival, Linbury Theatre of the Royal Opera House in London, BMA Fisher in New York, Romaeuropa Festival, Festival de Marseille, etc. She collaborates with contemporary theatre directors and composers in music theatre and theatre productions, as well as with contemporary dance and performance groups. Her repertoire ranges from Baroque to New Music and musical theatre, having sung roles such as Monica (The Medium), Ilia (Idomeneo), Morgana (Alcina), Yam-Yam (The Mikado) and the title role of the opera Frossini, etc. Alongside the mezzo-soprano Anastasia Kotsali, she is a founding member of the Rafi Music Theatre Company (2012) and the Kournos Music Festival Lemnos (2021, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture). Active since 2012, the Rafi Music Theatre Company has collaborated with all important cultural foundations in Greece (Greek National Opera, Athens Epidaurus Festival, Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, etc).
