Vassia Zacharopoulou

Greek soprano, she studied classical voice at the Greek National Conservatory, piano and classical dance. She also studied role interpretation with Kostas Paskalis. She has been collaborating with the GNO since 2008. From 2011 to 2013, she was a member of the GNO Opera Studio. In November 2014 she was awarded the Singing Award in the 14th Marie Kraja International Opera Competition. She has sung the roles of Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Ilia (Idomeneo, re di Creta), Eliza (My Fair Lady), Rosalia (West Side Story), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Vespetta (Pimpinone), Little Red Riding Hood (Little Red Riding Hood), Clarice (L’amante di tutte), Cupid (Orphée aux enfers), Lola (Picnic), Rika (The Daughter of the Storm), Medea (Medea), Princess (Beware! The Prince is Messy), Muse (Silence, the King Is Listening), Firebird (Prince Ivan and the Firebird), Hilda (Leporella), Toula (The Murderess), Tsarevna (The Tale of the Tsar Saltan), Jay (The Cunning Little Vixen). She has collaborated with the Armonia Atenea, the Orchestra Purpur Wien, the Tirana State Opera Orchestra, the Athens State Orchestra, the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation and the Municipality of Athens Music Ensembles. In the theatre, she has performed in Aristophanes’ Peace (National Theatre of Greece), The Slave’s Child, Masterclass and The Impresario from Smyrna (National Theatre of Greece). As a voice-over actress and singer, she provides her voice for dubbed films, commercials, etc.
