VINCENT CHAILLET

Born in France, he studied at the Ballet School of the Paris Opera before joining the Paris Opera Ballet in 2002. After being promoted to Principal Dancer, he per-formed many leading roles in classical ballets and contemporary works in Paris and on tour in major theatres around the world. Since 2017 he has been a guest professor and ballet master at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, Opéra national du Rhin, Opéra national du Capitole de Toulouse, La Scala (Milan), Opéra de Nice, Leipzig Opera and Paris Opera Ballet. After leaving Paris in 2021, he founded the Castel Artès Festival in Mirepoix (France) with the singer Edwin Crossley-Mercer, both as artistic directors since then. Since 2023 he collaborates as a choreographer with the stage director Romain Gilbert on such opera productions as Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette (The Dallas Opera), La Gioconda (Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona), Carmen (Opéra Orchestre Normandie Rouen, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Ho Guom Opera House, The Dallas Opera).
