DANIELA VIOLETA DIMA

She studied at the Institute of Theatre and Cinema I. L. Caragiale in Bucharest. After staging several productions, she joined Andrei Şerban’s Greek trilogy as an assistant director and member of the chorus in 1990, at the Romanian National Theatre. Since then she has been his close collaborator as dramaturg and associate director on a great number of theatre and opera projects at prestigious opera houses and festivals worldwide such as Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Grand Théâtre de Genève, San Francisco Opera, Opéra national de Paris, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, National Operas in Iași and Bucharest, Seoul National Theatre, Comédie-Française, Bulandra Theatre (Bucharest), Odéon (Paris), Romanian National Theatre, etc.
