KONSTANTINOS TERZAKIS

Appointed assistant conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (2022/23) and having won the orchestra’s prize award of the 16th Dimitri Mitropoulos International Competition for Conducting (2024) with an invitation to debut with Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, he has been excelling in symphonic, operatic and contemporary repertoire. He was selected fellow conductor at the Lucerne Festival 2022, which included a masterclass with Thomas Adès and Jonathan Stockhammer. He competed in the 17th Donatella Flick Conducting Competition, where he conducted the London Symphony Orchestra and was selected as semi-finalist of the Siemens-Hallé International Conductors Compe- tition 2023. In 2024 he won first place at the Athens State Orchestra’s audition for guest conducting over next seasons. During season 2024/25 he was regularly engaged in Greece conducting a number of productions. This season he is returning to the Athens State Orchestra, Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, TETTTIX and GNO.
