EVA MANIDAKI

Born in Athens. She studied architecture in Paris (École Spéciale d’Architecture) and theatre at the Embros Theatre Drama School. She has been working as an architect and set designer since 1995, while she taught at the School of Architecture (University of Thessaly, Volos, 2002-2017). She has designed theatre sets at the National Theatre of Greece, Onassis Stegi, GNO, NTNG, Athens Epidaurus Festival, Karolos Koun Art Theatre, as well as in private theatres, while she has been a founding member of Flux Office since 2007. She has won the gold medal of Best Work of Theatrical Architecture at the 12th Prague Quadrennial (2011) while she has participated in exhibitions, performances and events in Greece and abroad, such as 14th Venice Biennale of Architecture (2014), national participation in the Greek pavilion and has been nominated for EMMY Award / Art Direction – 1st European Games, Baku (2015), Japan Foundation Award 2015, Nekyia, Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus (2015), as well as Piranesi Award (Ephemeral Constructions, Athens Festival, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, 2024 and Foyer of the Children’s Stage, NTG, 2010). Since 2019 she has been teaching at the Set Design Workshop of the National Theatre, Greece.
