GREGOR ACUÑA-POHL

Actor, stage director and dance dramaturg, he studied theatre at the Instituto del Teatro in Seville, La Abadía Foundation in Madrid and the École Philippe Gaulier in London. He worked as an actor with prestigious Spanish companies, such as La Cuadra de Sevilla, Els Comediants, Tricicle and the National Classical Theatre Company. In parallel, he works with opera and theatre stage directors, such as Salvador Távora, Daniel Suárez Marzal, Josef Svoboda, Petr Weigl, Achim Thorwald, José Carlos Plaza, etc. He directed Fidelio, his first opera in Bilbao (2018). Since 2011 he has been collaborating with Johan Inger as a dramaturg in: B.R.I.S.A. (NDT), Carmen (Compañía Nacional de Danza), Peer Gynt (Ballet Basel), Petrushka (Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo), Don Juan (Aterballetto), Aurora’s Nap (Stuttgart Ballet) and A Swan Lake (Semperoper Ballet). He also has collaborated as dramaturg with other choreographers like Richard Wherlock, Isabel Vázquez, Ruben Olmo, Iratxe Ansa, Igor Bacovich, Adriano Bolognino and Bryan Arias.
