ANTONELLO ALLEMANDI

Highly sought-after conductor in the international music scene, he has graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and made his debut at the age of 21 at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Since then he has been working with leading orchestras and renowned opera houses worldwide. He was honoured with the prestigious Médaille d’or in Bilbao on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the ABAO. Throughout his remarkable career, he has conducted over thirty opera productions at ABAO and has performed at major theatres such as The MET (New York), Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Vienna State Opera, Opéra national de Paris, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and many others. He has also conducted renowned orchestras including the Nouvel Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre national de Lille and Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi. Among his notable opera productions are La Cenerentola (The MET), Il trovatore (Vienna State Opera) and Tosca (Opéra national de Paris). This is his first collaboration with the Greek National Opera.
