JEAN-LUC RISTORD

He has worked as a sound technician at the Opéra national de Paris, the Salle Favart and the Comédie-Française. Additionally, he creates sound designs for the agency NezHaut and the artist Bernard Roué. For the Compagnie des Petits Champs, he created soundscapes for Marivaux’s L’Épreuve, Molière’s Monsieur de Pourceaugnac, J.-L. Lagarce’s Le Pays lointain, Goldoni’s Une des dernières soirées de carnaval, and Turgenev’s Un mois à la campagne directed by Hervieu-Léger. At the Comédie-Française, he creates sound environments for the actors’ readings and productions. He also worked with Éric Ruf on Ibsen’s Peer Gynt (Grand-Palais), Antonio da Silva’s Vie du grand dom Quichotte de la Manche et du gros Sancho Panc¸ a and Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (Salle Richelieu). Since 2011, he has been the sound creator for Clément Hervieu-Léger’s productions at the Comédie-Française. He has created many soundtracks, working alongside Roger Planchon, Daniel Mesguich, Jean-Louis Benoît, Matthias Langhoff, Muriel Mayette-Holtz, Jacques Lassalle and Katharina Thalbach. He is a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
