ENZO CESCATTI

After a bachelor in performing arts, Enzo, who grew within an Italian immigrant family, worked mid-path between lasting light and interior architecture. He joined the lighting design department of the National School of Theatre Arts and Technicals (ENSATT), and lightened projects led by Georgia Tavares or Lorraine de Sagazan. His research topic at ENSATT was “black and white in stage lighting”. He assisted Bertrand Couderc in the creation of Bajazet directed by Éric Ruf at the Comédie-Française, and lightened Sabine Devieilhe for some of her recitals. He also co-signed the lights of L’Enfant et les sortilèges (Opéra national de Bordeaux). After graduating, he designed the lighting on the Franco-Brazilian project I Don’t Want to Kill my Father by Georgia Tavares and, in tandem with Hervé Gary, those of If I Were King at the Toulon Opera. Moreover, he designed the lighting for Sophocles’ Antigone directed by Sébastien Kheroufi at the Théâtre du Soleil. He continues his mentoring journey with Bertrand Couderc and his personals projects.
