PETRA REINHARDT

After completing her studies in Munich, she began working in film, television and theatre. Her first engagement was as costume-assistant at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, where she designed costumes for Il matrimonio segreto and Il barbiere di Siviglia. After working on the film Mario und der Zauberer with Klaus Maria Brandauer as director, she continued in 2006 the collaboration with Brandauer for Lohengrin (Cologne Opera) and Die Dreigroschenoper (Friedrichstadtpalast, Berlin). She designed costumes for Salome at the Bavarian State Opera (dir. William Friedkin). In the following years she collaborated, among other projects, with José Cura, Johannes Schaaf and Chen Shi-Zheng. Moreover, she has worked in numerous operas with Robert Carsen (Baden-Baden Festival, Opéra Comique in Paris, La Scala in Milan, Opéra National du Rhin, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Comédie Francaise in Paris, Komische Oper Berlin, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord Paris, etc). In 2022 she collaborated with Claus Guth on Bluthaus (Bavarian State Opera and Staatsschauspiel, Munich), followed by Don Carlo in 2023 (Teatro di San Carlo, Naples, and Latvian Opera House, Riga).
