FANNY ARDANT

Famous French actress, she has performed in more than eighty films and thirty theatrical plays. Among others, she has directed André Messager’s operetta Véronique (2008) and Stephen Sondheim’s musical Passion (2016) at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris. This has been the first time she directed an opera production. She has worked with such prestigious film directors as François Truffaut, Alain Resnais, Costa-Gavras, Michelangelo Antonioni, Ettore Scola, Michel Deville, Agnès Varda, Claude Lelouch, Nadir Moknèche, Franco Zeffirelli, Paolo Sorrentino, Mario Martone, Marion Vernoux, Tony Gatlif, Ursula Meier, Volker Schlöndorff, Margarethe von Trotta, Yves Angelo and François Ozon. In theatre she has worked, among others, with Roman Polanski, Andreas Voutsinas, Jacques Lassalle, Lambert Wilson, Hervé Loichemol and Thierry Kliffa. She has directed the films Cendres et Sang with Ronit Elkabetz, Cadences obstinées with Asia Argento and Nuno Lopes, as well as Le Divan de Staline with Gérard Depardieu and Emmanuelle Seigner.
