JACQUES LACOMBE

Music director of the Vancouver Opera, he has been principal conductor of the Bonn Opera in Germany as well as music director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse in France. He has worked with many leading opera houses worldwide including the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Metropolitan Opera in New York, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Bavarian State Opera (Munich), Teatro Regio in Turin, Opéra national du Rhin as well as opera houses in Marseille, Monaco, Nancy, Nice, Seville and Saint-Étienne. In addition to his numerous collaborations with many orchestras in North America such as orchestras in Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Edmonton, Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, he has worked in Europe among others with the Orchestre national de France, Orchestre Lamoureux and orchestras in Malaga, Monte-Carlo, Nancy, Nice, Toulouse as well as with many orchestras in Oceania and Asia. At the Greek National Opera, he has conducted the operas Werther (2023) and La bohème (2024/25).
