KATERINA GEVETZI

Dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She studied at the Niki Kontaxaki Professional Dance School and at the Academy SEAD of Austria. With Vienna as her base until 2015, she worked with Flowmotion Dance Company, Transitheart Productions as well as with the Berlin State Opera. In Greece, as a dancer, she has cooperated with Maria Koliopoulou, Mariela Nestora, Sania Stribakou, Antigone Gyra, Athanasia Kanellopoulou, Kosmas Kosmopoulos, Elisavet Pliakostathi, Mary Pardalaki, Ermira Goro, Willi Dorner, Chrysanthi Badeka, Spyros Kouvaras, etc. She teaches contemporary dance and movement for actors and is a coordinator of educational arts programmes. Moreover, she works as a choreographer in theatre. She has worked with such stage directors as Argyris Xafis, Kostas Papakonstantinou, Sophia Karayanni, Elissaios Vlachos, Foivos Symeonidis, Amalia Bennett, Nikita Milivojevic, Themelis Glynatsis at the National Theatre of Greece, GNO, Olympia City Music Theatre ‘Maria Callas’ and independent theatre companies. This season she collaborates with choreographers Maria Koliopoulou and Spyros Kouvaras and takes part in the revival of Pina Bausch’s Kontakthof at the National Theatre of Greece.
