DAN O’NEILL

He is a choreographer and movement director with an extensive career in opera, theatre, TV and film. In 2023 he choreographed the world premiere of Górecki’s Symphony of Sorrowful Songs and in 2024 the opera The Turn of the Screw (English National Opera). Other opera and theatre credits include Faust (Mariinsky Theatre), Parsifal (ROH), Le nozze di Figaro (Gothenburg), Falstaff (GNO), Wolves in the Walls (National Theatre of Scotland), Peepshow (Frantic Assembly). He created the physical vocabulary for the ‘Synths’ in the acclaimed TV series Humans (Channel 4), the ‘Zombies’ in The Girl with All the Gifts and served as movement coach for Alien: Earth (FX Productions). He wrote and choreographed the film The Linesman (BBC / NPS) and worked with Gillian Anderson on her award-winning portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Crown (Netflix). Trained at LSCD in London, he has performed with leading dance companies including The Featherstonehaughs, DV8 Physical Theatre, Toronto Dance Theatre. He is a visiting lecturer at RADA in London and has led workshops at many academic institutions and in prisons.
