KATERINA PETSATODΙ

Born in Thessaloniki, she studied violin at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki and graduated from the Theatre Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From 2002 she worked as director’s assistant in theatre and opera in Greece and abroad. Since 2007 she has been working at the Greek National Opera as a director’s assistant and as a director (The Legend of the Αncient Μariner by Marco Sofianopoulo, A Hand of Bridge by Samuel Barber, Hin und zurück by Paul Hindemith, The Emperor’s Nightingale by Lena Platonos). Moreover, she has worked with such stage directors as Graham Vick, Steven Langridge, Ugo de Ana, Renato Zanella, Mariame Clément, among others, and often stages the revivals of opera productions. She is the Director of Stage of the Greek National Opera.
