GEORGE SOUGLIDES

Born in Cyprus, he studied interior and theatre design in London. He has produced his work at the Salzburg Festival, Bregenz Festival, Athens Epidaurus Festival, Garsington Opera Festival, Savonlinna Opera Festival (Finland), and has worked with operas in Chicago, Rome, Lisbon, Scotland, North Ireland, Gothenburg, Bergen (Norway), Valencia, as well as Opera North, Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre (Moscow), Royal Danish Opera, Royal Ballet of the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Scottish Ballet, Cyprus Theatre Organisation, National Theatre of Northern Greece, etc. He participated at the Prague Quadrennial and the exhibition Collaborators at the Victoria and Albert Museum (London). His previous work with the Greek National Opera includes Charis Vrontos’ The Possessed, L’elisir d’amore, Il prigioniero, Orfeo ed Euridice, Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci, Serse, Così fan tutte, Carmen, Jenůfa and Don Quixote.
