Ludivine Issambourg

Born in Normandy in 1983, she began ballet training at the age of four. A private teacher introduced her to the flute, improvisation and jazz, as well as performers such as Roland Kirk, Eric Dolphy and Yusef Lateef. In 2007, she won the First National Jazz Flute Competition organised by Magic Malik. That same year, hip-hop singer, songwriter and producer Wax Taylor recruited her for his group, with whom she toured internationally for five years. She appeared on the gold-selling album In the Mood for Life in 2009 and on a live album recorded at Paris’ Olympia in 2010. During this period, she also released the album H2O with the electronica band UHT. In 2012, she founded the group Antiloops, which won the Sunside Trophies. In 2020, with the support of Éric Legnini, she released the album Outlaws, a tribute to Hubert Laws. She has also participated in the recording of albums by Amadou et Mariam, Thierry Mayard and Michel Edelin.
