Manu Codjia

From the moment his grandmother gave him the Méthode Rose, he never stopped playing the piano. Then he decided that the guitar suited him better. After just two years of classical guitar at a music school in Chaumont, he switched to jazz. When he came of age, he left the city and joined the jazz department at the Paris Conservatoire, where he won first prize. He is renowned for creating musical fusions between jazz, rock, electronic music and reggae. Henri Texier and Erik Truffaz are delighted to play alongside him. As a solo artist, he released Songline on the Be Jazz label in 2006. In 2007, he was nominated for the international Django d’Or jazz award.
