Srdjan Ivanovic

Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, he moved to Athens in 1992 to escape the war. He is now based in Paris. He moved to the Netherlands in 2003, where he studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (undergraduate) and the Utrechts Conservatorium (postgraduate). In 2014, he received a prestigious scholarship from the Prins Bernhard Foundation to study in New York for six months. He won the Holland Casino Jazz & Pop Award in both 2008 and 2009, as well as the Dutch Jazz Competition in 2008. The jury (chaired by Philippe Catherine) congratulated him on the originality of his compositions and his performance. He took part in the VIPs tour in 2009 and the EBU European Jazz Competition in 2010.
