Mikaela Liakata

She is an architect, set designer and projection designer. She has designed for the West End and other stages in London and New York, the Edinburgh Festival, the Opera Halle, the National Theatre of Greece, the Jiangsu Center for the Performing Arts and more. She has also worked at the National Theatre of Great Britain, Opéra National de Lyon, Warsaw Opera, La Monnaie (Brussels), Teatro Real (Madrid), The Public (NY), the Dutch National Opera and more. She graduated with honours from the School of Architecture and the postgraduate course Design – Space – Culture of the National Technical University of Athens. She holds an MFA in Design for Stage and Film (Tisch School of the Arts, New York University). She is a Fulbright, Alexander S. Onassis Foundation, Attica Tradition Educational Foundation and New York University scholar. She has taught at the Department of Performing and Digital Arts of the School of Arts of the University of Peloponnese and has worked as a teaching assistant at the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens.
