Elena Triantafyllopoulou

Graduated with honours from the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Athens, the postgraduate programme World Theatre: Theory, Dramaturgy, Practice and the Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos (her graduation film Bella won the State Cinema Award at the 49th Thessaloniki Film Festival). She continued her studies abroad on the subject of image aesthetics and philosophy (Freie Universität Berlin). She has undertaken the theatrical adaptation of literary works as well as the dramaturgical adaptation and translation of many theatrical texts and has collaborated with organisations such as National Theatre of Greece, Onassis Stegi, Greek National Opera, Athens Epidaurus Festival, etc, and with directors such as Aris Biniaris, Simos Kakalas, Marianna Calbari, Sophia Marathaki, Yolanda Markopoulou, Natasha Triantafylli, Alexandros Efklidis, etc. She teaches playwriting and screenwriting at the “Creative Writing” programme of the Hellenic Open University, dramaturgy and modern Greek literature at the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun Drama School and creative writing (performance dramaturgy) at the Athens Conservatoire Drama School.
