Alicia Townsend

She was born in Melbourne, Australia. After moving to Brisbane, she trained at the Annette Roselli Dance Academy for 13 years. She completed the final two years of her training at the Queensland Ballet Academy before progressing to the Queensland Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program. She performed with the Queensland Ballet Company in productions including Strictly Gershwin, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. She accepted a contract with the National Moravian–Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, Czech Republic, as a Corps de ballet member with soloist obligations, and danced a variety of repertoire such as Don Quixote, Swan Lake and Cinderella. Following her time in Czechia, she joined The National Ballet of Ireland for their national tour of Swan Lake. Then she moved to London and offered her contracts with the English National Ballet for the productions of Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. In 2021 she joined the Greek National Opera Corps de ballet.
