Popi Sakellaropoulou

Born in Athens, she graduated from the Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Athens, and the Anna Petrova Professional Dance School (dance teacher diploma). She attended a classical, modern and jazz dance seminar at the École Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower. She was a member of the Ballet Studio of the GNO (1995-2002). Since 2002 she has been a permanent member of the GNO Ballet and since 2013 she is a Soloist. She has danced in productions such as Zorba the Greek, Le Corsaire, Raymonda, La Bayadère, Pinocchio, La Fille mal gardée, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle and Eugene Onegin. Moreover, she has performed lead roles in such ballets as The Snow Queen, Don Quixote, Alles Walzer, Boléro, Chopin in love, The Nutcracker, Voyage to Eternity, Cinderella, Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty. She has worked with choreographers Leonidas De Pian, Rey Barra, Lorca Massine, Irek Mukhamedov, Vladimir Vasiliev, Zoe Dimitriou, Rudi van Dantzig, Igor Zelensky, Renato Zanella, Yannick Boquin, Andonis Foniadakis and Douglas Lee.
