Danilo Zeka

Born in Tirana, he studied at the Albanian State Academy of Dance and continued his studies at the Grand Théâtre de Genève (Switzerland). He was a member of the Albanian State Opera Ballet. He joined the Greek National Opera Ballet in 2001 and in 2007 he became a Principal Dancer. He has worked with many prestigious choreographers such as Igor Zelensky, Irek Mukhamedov, Vladimir Vasiliev, Alexander Grant, Ray Barra, Harris Mandafounis, Andonis Foniadakis, Konstantinos Rigos, Renato Zanella, etc. in such roles as Siegfried (Swan Lake), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Albrecht (Giselle), Don Basilio (Don Quixote), Colas (La Fille mal gardée), Love (Canto General), Kai (The Snow Queen), Don José (Carmen), Prince Alexei (The Nutcracker), Romeo (Romeo and Juliet), Prince (Cinderella), Jason (Recycling Medea), John (Zorba the Greek), Werther (Chopin in love), Prince Philip (Sleeping Beauty). Moreover, he has also danced in such ballets as Les Sylphides, Boléro, Journey to Eternity, Four Last Songs, Links, Topia / Landscapes, Équilibre, as well as in Sofia Spyratou’s productions. He has participated in numerous galas in Greece and abroad.
