Open Call to Audition for the GNO Intercultural Orchestra

The GNO Learning & Participation invites experienced or amateur musicians from different nationalities and music genres to take part in the audition for the “Intercultural Orchestra” workshop.

Launched in 2018, the Intercultural Orchestra is a multicultural ensemble of musicians of different nationalities and musical backgrounds and with different experiences. It was created on the concept that music can be a common ground and a place of equal participation and interaction for all. The Intercultural Orchestra’s repertoire is quite wide and extends from traditional music of the countries of origin of its members to free improvisation. Since 2018, the Intercultural Orchestra has given many concerts at various sites in the city, in concert venues and beyond (GNO’s Alternative Stage, Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, Courtyard of the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the Courtyard of the Acropolis Museum as part of the 1st GNO Sacred Music Festival).

Since its foundation, Harris Lambrakis has been the director and workshop leader of the Intercultural Orchestra.
