1500 free tickets to the unemployed for the Dress Rehearsal of Carmen

The Greek National Opera, within the framework of its social policy and with the intention to assure access for all citizens to cultural goods, provides free tickets to the unemployed for the Dress Rehearsal of its second summer production at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

The Greek National Opera’s second major summer production is George Bizet’s groundbreaking Carmen, which will be staged at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus Theatre on 24, 26, 27 and 29 July 2016 as part of the Athens Festival. With themes of love and liberty, the most popular opera in the French repertoire is conducted by Lukas Karytinos and directed by the famous British director, Steven Langridge, currently Artistic Director of the Gothenburg Opera.

With the Orchestra, Chorus, Ballet Members and Children’s Chorus of the GNOwithin the framework of its educational programme.

Unemployment card holders can collect their free tickets showing their identity document at the Olympia Theater box office (Akadimias 59-61, 210 366 2100) on the following days and hours

  • Wednesday 20 July: 14.00 - 21.00
  • Thursday 21 July: 10.00 - 17.00
