Following the completion of the Women’s Paths and Bridges project, the GNO Learning & Participation Department’s involvement in the programme Cultural Prescription Pilot Projects—an initiative of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU—continues for another year with a new series of workshops called Unisons: Meeting Points Between Speech and Music. This project, designed for individuals with anxiety disorders, explores the healing power of music combined with speech within a group setting. Through musical improvisation, listening exercises, hands-on activities with instruments and sound-producing objects, and attendance at GNO performances, participants will gain tools to express, communicate, and create.

At the core of this project are teamwork, emotional bonds, and the “mirroring” effect developed among group members. Music serves as a transitional space where the power of words diminishes, opening new pathways to different meanings and emotions.

No prior music knowledge is required to participate in the programme.
