The Greek National Opera goes to school

For the 2025/26 season, the GNO Learning & Participation Department “adopts” six classes from six Primary Schools in Attica, with the goal of introducing students to the magical world of opera.

This project invites schools to take interactive tours of the Greek National Opera's spaces and daily life, while creating unique artistic experiences inside the classroom. Through discussions with opera professionals, experiential workshops, screenings of excerpts from famous works, and original educational materials, children will have the chance to get to know this colourful and “polyphonic” artistic universe up close.

This initiative aims to inspire students and educators to encourage creativity and open paths for expression, bringing the magic of opera into the heart of the schools involved in the programme.
