COEX is an interactive visual and acoustic performance, born from the creative collaboration between the contemporary music ensemble dissonArt ensemble and the creative Beetroot design group.

COEX explores the boundaries of a concert form that develops in a specific site/place, combining analog and digital theatrical-musical acts. It is a hybrid form of performance that combines a digital/analog concert, an acoustic promenade, music theatre, and stage installation.

The audience follows the musical ensemble through the spaces of the Greek National Opera at the SNFCC on a path where music intersects with digital images and visual installations, forming new “eu-topias” – creative spaces of the imaginary.

The performance features music works established in the contemporary avant-garde scene (by composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Georges Aperghis, Carola Bauckholt, and Thierry de Mey), as well as pieces from the last decade by internationally acclaimed composers (Niels Rønsholdt, Joanna Bailie, and Christian Winther Christensen).
