Magda Tzavella

Greek mezzo-soprano, she was born in Epidaurus where she began her musical studies at the age of seven, studying piano and flute. She graduated from the School of Law (AUTh), she studied monody (diploma, class of Katerina Karatza) and drama (State Thessaloniki Conservatory). She followed studies at the University of Music in Cologne and postgraduate degrees at the Music University of Münster, while she continued to study under the guidance of the soprano Lavinia Kepentzi. She was a scholarship holder of the association Live Music Now Deutschland – Yehudi Menuhin, performing as a soloist in many concerts in German cities. She has performed Third boy (Die Zauberflöte) at the Wuppertal Opera, where she also participated as an additional chorus member. She has participated as a chorus member and soloist in numerous concerts in Germany, France and Greece. She collaborates with the Greek National Opera since 2013 and since 2019 she is a permanent member of the GNO Chorus.
