Open Call for Participants in the GNO Intercultural Dance

The GNO Learning and Participation department launches a new project "Intercultural Dance" that aims to create an original and unique dance group where different cultural traditions will be set in a creative dialogue with contemporary dance practices.

This open call is addressed to dancers of different ethnicities, professionals and/or dancers with extensive experience in a specific dance style (contemporary, traditional, street dance, jazz, tap dance, etc). Under the guidance of the workshop leader/choreographer Polina Kremasta, the participants of the Intercultural Dance Group will work together, share experiences and develop skills through interactive learning processes. Using research as a creative tool, the workshop aspires to explore ways in which different dancing styles, traditions and practices can inform each other, while also at the same time deepening the group’s knowledge on kinetic research and choreography methods.
