In line with the new precautionary measures announced by the Ministry of Health which include -among others- the suspension of all cultural activities in venues with a capacity of over 1.000 spectators, the Greek National Opera suspends its performances at the Stavros Niarchos Hall (with a seating capacity of 1.400) until further notice.
All performances of the GNO Alternative Stage (with a capacity of 300 seats) will take place as scheduled, unless different instructions are issued by the Ministry of Health.
More specifically, next week’s performance of The Papess Joanne on 15 March 2020 at the Stavros Niarchos Hall is suspended.
All ticket holders of The Papess Joanne will be contacted by the Greek National Opera’s box office to be offered a refund or the possibility to exchange their tickets for another performance date, or for another production.
It is also noted that the GNO will provide weekly updates to the Media, for as long as the measures are in place, to facilitate its audience.
