Annual presentation of the GNO Professional Dance School

Greek National Opera – Stavros Niarchos Hall
Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center

Starts at: 20.00 | clock

The GNO Professional Dance School is extending an invitation to its annual presentation, prepared under the guidance of Yorghos Matskaris. Students from the school will be taking to the expansive Stavros Niarchos Hall stage to perform both classical choreographies and new creations.

This performance allows us to meet the stars of the future, to applaud their youthful elan, and to reward their efforts to become the dancers of tomorrow.

The GNO Professional Dance School’s Head of Studies, Yorghos Matskaris, notes: “Another highly creative and productive year is drawing to a close, with the students of our School’s professional year groups more than ready for our annual presentation, to be held on Sunday, 17 July at 20.00 inside the Greek National Opera’s Stavros Niarchos Hall at the SNFCC.

In these trying, uncommon times, our students yet again showed great dedication and commitment to their studies throughout this year’s programme, all of them working, learning, and training intensively to acquire the skills and experience they need to progress as artists – and for this, they each deserve our warmest congratulations.

We will be presenting choreographies by Fotis Diamantopoulos (working in partnership with Eleni Kladou and Natasha Siouta), Yiannis Tsigkris (assisted by Christos Xyrafakis), Nancy Nerantzi, Myrto Grapsa, and Olia Tornaritou, as well as pieces by the students Pavlos Orfeas Argyropoulos, Theoni Peraki, Ilia Koukouzeli, Anastasia Galati, and Konstantina Tsimeka. The evening will feature original music by Lucas Tsolakian, Myron Paraskevopoulos, and George Kontovas.
