Greek and Italian canzonettas of the Interwar Years

The concert's song selection evokes the forgotten ambience of the time when the inhabitants of Athens experienced their first radio days. Back then, the radio broadcast the most wonderful songs touching the heart of the listenersand making their everyday life and their relations more humane andwarmer. The concert features songs by Gounaris, Sougioul, Giannidis, Attic, Chairopoulos, as well as Italian canzonettas, which were equally loved by the Greek audience of the Interwar Years.
