Tribute to Yannis Konstantinidis (1903-1984) - Works for voice and piano

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Yannis Konstandinidis’ death, the GNO pays tribute to this par excellence vocal music master, who not only excelled in operatic and Lied compositions but also in “lighter” genres (under the pseudonym Kostas Yannidis). The concert, focusing on his songs for voice and piano, constitutes an anthology from the collections Songs of Expectation (1924-1980) based on poetry by Rabindranath Tagor, Songs of Love (1930-1931) and Songs of the Greek People (1937-1947) inspired by Greek folk songs.
